About Us
The United Friends' Orchestra is founded in 2009, its current members are mainly students from local and overseas secondary schools and universities, namely Eastman School of Music, Hong Kong Institute of Education, Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, Chinese University, University of Science and Technology, City University, Hang Seng School of Commerce, P.L.K. Vicwood K.T.Chong Sixth Form College, St.Stephen's Girls' College, La Salle College and Heep Yunn School etc.
The mission of the orchestra is to promote classical music through a variety of performances and activities, and to serve the society, local and international alike, in the field of music.
UFO Members
In 2009, UFO took part in "Community Arts Festival" to help promote the East Asian Games. Besides, the orchestra had organized events during the Le Château des Arts, these include Valentines' Day Carnival, Cello Banquet by Cellists from Central Conservatory of Music (China) and Music Induction Seminar etc.
UFO is dedicated to the promotion of music. Not limited to a platform of musical exchange among young musicians, the orchestra also plans to hold various music programmes in the near future to achieve a further reach into the society, and to contribute in teenager's personal development.
